WELCOME TO KIWI.

Have you ever gone out for what was supposed to be a quick, easy run only to notice your knee felt a little more sore than usual? The soreness lingers, overstays its welcome, and suddenly even sitting down on the toilet is a not-so-subtle reminder that something isn’t right. Or maybe you helped a friend move a heavy box and now you’re dealing with a nagging back pain that won’t go away. Rolled your ankle playing your favorite sport? Training consistently but not seeing the improvements you expect?

If any of this sounds familiar, I’d love to introduce myself.

My name is Sarah. I’m a retired collegiate volleyball player, an active individual who loves training in the gym and staying involved in the volleyball community, a wife, a friend, a coach…. and my favorite role of all, a physical therapist. I’m the owner and lead physical therapist at KIWI Physical Therapy and Performance LLC, a cash-based physical therapy clinic located in Alpharetta, GA.

At KIWI, our mission is simple: help active individuals return to what they love and feel even better than they did before pain slowed them down. It’s right there in our motto: High-quality care for high-quality movement.

We take pride in finding the root cause of your symptoms rather than just treating where it hurts. Our goal is for every patient to leave feeling better than when they walked in and confident in the path forward. As a certified manual therapist and a Fellow-in-Training for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapist through the Manual Therapy Institute, my treatments emphasize detailed movement analysis, hands-on care, and restoring overall function. Every plan of care is tailored to you, your goals, and the demands of your lifestyle.

Beyond physical therapy, KIWI is passionate about supporting long-term fitness and performance. As a certified personal trainer, I also offer individualized programming for those beginning (or restarting) their fitness journey. Whether you want to walk into the gym with a clear plan or squeeze in a focused 30-minute workout at home before dinner, we help set realistic goals, provide structured weekly programming, and keep you motivated along the way.

KIWI also holds a unique niche within the volleyball community. As a former athlete, current coach, and active member of the local volleyball scene, I understand the physical demands of the sport. Whether you’re a club athlete, recreational player, or weekend pickup competitor, we strive to help volleyball athletes stay healthy, perform better, and play longer.

One of the most common questions we receive is: Do you take insurance? The short answer is no. While a future blog will dive deeper into the details, the simple reason is this: insurance can create barriers to care and limit how we’re able to treat you. By remaining cash-based, we’re able to spend more time with you, deliver higher-quality care, and focus fully on your recovery. We do provide superbills, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement depending on your policy.

I’d love to connect with you. If you’re curious about working together, schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation call. It’s a chance to ask questions, learn more about KIWI, and see if we’re the right fit for your goals.

Your movement matters and we’re here to help you move better, longer.
